This consultation has concluded.
The City of Burnside seeks your input into the declaration of Amery Lane, Beulah Park as a Public Road.
The properties between Dimboola Street and Union Street were created in 1878 through the plan of subdivision Deposited Plan 724 (DP724). This created a Right of Way now known as Amery Lane and a Street now known as Dimboola Street.
Although Council has treated these as public roads, it was brought to Council’s attention that the ownership of the street and right of way (now designated as Lot 40 and Lot 41, DP724) was in fact the heirs and successors of the original owners.
In 2011 Council resolved to declare Dimboola Street to be a public road. On 23 July 2013 meeting, Council resolved to begin the process to declare Amery Lane as a public road (resolution number C9300).

Subsequently, a notice was published in the Government Gazette on 7 August 2014 finalising the declaration process.
