*** UPDATE ***

At its Ordinary Council Meeting on 18 November 2025 Council considered all feedback received in response to the consultation and endorsed an application to be submitted to the Minister for Local Government seeking approval to revoke the Community Land classification of the subject land - Delbridge Court Reserve, being Allotment (Reserve) 708 in Deposited Plan 94328, compromising the whole of the land contained in Certificate of Title Volume 6146 Folio 905.

What will happen?

No sale, contract or disposal process will be undertaken until Ministerial approval has been formally granted. Any subsequent sale to the owners of 6 Evelyn Court, Beaumont, will be for market value as determined by independent licensed valuers.

A further report to Council will be made once the Minister’s response is received to consider whether to proceed with the revocation and subsequent sale.

*****

The proposed sale of Delbridge Court Reserve, Beaumont

Council has received a request from the owner of 6 Evelyn Court, Beaumont, to purchase Delbridge Court Reserve.

The Reserve is 5m² and is 50m long by 10cm wide and borders the whole of the rear boundary of 6 Evelyn Court, Beaumont.

The Reserve is encumbered by an SA Water service easement for sewerage purposes. The easement will continue with any sale of this land.

As this portion of land is classified as community land, the Community Land Classification of this land needs to be changed (or ‘revoked’) before any sale can occur. The revocation process requires that Council must consult with the community.

The portion of land proposed for sale is highlighted in green below:
